Puerto Rico
Best for travelers who love the beach but also want a good mix of other things to do. An island rich in history and culture.

Why go
The island I know best
Puerto Rico was our home base for four years while we traveled around the Caribbean, so this is the island I know inside and out.
Most visitors never leave San Juan. To each their own, but the real magic is out on the west coast, up in the mountains and on the little islands of Culebra and Vieques. Rent a car and go explore.
Keeley’s tip
Don’t plan too much. If you find a beach you love, stay and enjoy it. Island time is real, so embrace it.
